10 Qirat Course

Preserving the divine diversity of the Quranic revelation through the ten canonical recitations.

Scholar Reciting Holy Quran

What are the Qirat?

The Quran was revealed in seven Ahruf (dialects/modes) to facilitate recitation for the various Arab tribes. These have been preserved through ten authentic Qira'at (recitations), each named after a famous Imam who standardized that particular mode of transmission.

Variations include different vowelings, pronunciations (like Imalah or Tasheel), and occasionally different words, all of which enrich the meaning without contradiction.
